One of the most sought after mowers, the Toro Recycler 20339 Smartstow has its tight grip on the market. It stays true to its kind, Toro lawnmowers, which has innovative and useful features and a low price which is hard to beat. No other brand promises so much in quality mowing, no-frills construction, and affordability as the icing on the cake. Toro have also listened to customer complaints and suggestions and made a lawnmower which saves storage space. Here is what the Toro Recycler 20339 has to offer;

Features

A wide 22” cutting deck made of steel makes it great for mowing large lawns due to its wide cutting area.  It houses a 190cc Briggs and Stratton engine to power the rotary blade for a high-quality cut. The lawnmower is self-driven with front wheel drive meaning the traction on the mower is exemplary. You can control the variable speed to 4 mph (most lawnmowers only achieve about 3mph) A pull cord is used to start the engine. The Toro Recycler 20339 also features a rear bag for collecting clippings as well as side discharge option. A mulch kit is included if you prefer mowing the lawn and leaving the mulch to help in growing healthy grass. An adjustable cutting height of between 1.0” and 4.0” further increases versatility to cut tall grasses. And at 83.0 lbs. this self-propelled lawnmower does not strain you when mowing, cleaning it or storing it. Here are the pros and cons;

Pros

  • Smartstow feature

The Smart stop technology which gives the lawnmower part of its name is an exemplary example of innovative technology. It allows you to store the lawnmower vertically. This is particularly useful if you use your garage to store the mower. It instantly frees up garage space for you to park your car without bumping into it every now and then. Also, storing it vertically exposes the bottom of the mower which contains the rotary blade for easy cleaning.

  • Front wheels

Cutting along the side of a structure or a fence can prove difficult. Toro have come up with a solution where the front wheels are specially designed so you can cut close to the fence and other obstructions.

  • 3-year guarantee

If your mower does not start after pulling the cord twice, take it to Toro, and they will repair it for free. This guarantee to start policy means they care about their customers which is a plus.

Cons

Some users have reported that the front wheel drive does not provide enough traction when mowing uphill. The lawnmower can even stall on an incline. If this will be a common occurrence (mowing sloping areas), you’d be better off buying a rear wheel drive lawnmower. Also, much to our disappointment, the mower handle height is not adjustable.

Conclusion

The Toro Recycler 20339 Smart show is very economical owing to its affordable price and above average cutting abilities. It also saves storage space and works best on even lawns. This combination is great for someone with a medium to large lawn and uses the garage to store the mower rather than a shed.
